Xiao Bamboo Flute by Huang Weidong 8-Hole G key

Created by first-class Dizi 笛子 and Xiao 洞簫 maker, Huang Weidong, this Xiao 洞簫 highlights delicate tonal qualities, and warm sounding that makes it ideal for beginning to intermediate players starting off and progressing to learn Xiao.

Made from Selected Purple Bamboo in Hangzhou, this Xiao features 8 holes for a broad range of fingering, and is available in keys F, G and High A. Nylon is wound on the Xiao to sustain climate changes. Players can fine-tune this Xiao with the adjustable metal joint if necessary.

There is also a version without the metal joint.

Without the metal joint, the Xiao is entirely made out of bamboo that produces better resonance than the adjustable version because of material consistency.

Engraved with traditional Chinese poetry, each Xiao is accessorized with its own velvet bag, that makes it a perfect gift for woodwind enthusiasts.
